So, I know, I know...It has been almost four whole days since I last posted! Bad Blogger! A lot has been going on this week! I had another job interview on Thursday and Charles came into port on Friday. He was only supposed to be in for the weekend, but as it turns out they will be in for the week (hopefully!) I will believe it when I see it.
Today we just vegged out...(you know, laid like brocolli!). We have been couch taters...and I honestly can't say it has been that bad. Charles has duty tomorrow so I won't see him until Monday night.
I am going to be starting work this week and I am very excited to be making the extra money. Life is so much easier when I work and there is even money to spend on "little extras". I will start out at $22 an hour and will most likely be working eight hour shifts. I am going to be working at Tripler Army Hospital, which is about three miles or so from my house. You can google Tripler if you want to see it! It's a big pink hospital on a small mountain.
So I've almost got my house just the way I like it...those of you that know me, know that I am always changing things and rearranging around the house. I usually involved in some kind of crazy creative idea that I either saw in a magzine or "dreamed" up! Luckily, I have a best friend that shares the same habit. Going back to work will definitely put a dent in our daily shenanigans!
I want to say congratulations to Kristen and Paul McDonald on their six year anniversary today! There is another anniversary coming up on June 1. Ashley and Charles Freeman will be celebrating their two years of marriage! Congratulations!
Just a few FYI's...Premium gas at the Navy gas station was $2.79 tonight. And for everyone that thinks that milk is $8 a gallon out here-its NOT! It tends to run anywhere from $3.80 - $6.00, depending on what type you buy (regular or organic). I just wanted to clear that up. I also wanted to give myself a nice pat on the back for my super savings coupon trip to the commissary on Thursday. I went to pick up some groceries for the weekend since Charles was coming home...My bill added up to be $118 and some change...after the cashier deducted the discounts from the 22 coupons that I had saved, my final bill came out to be $98! WOW! What a savings! Over twenty dollars or 17% of the total bill! I am beginning to be such a money conscious grocery shopper. ( I owe all my knowledge to the coupon queen...Mrs. Kristen McDonald!) Thank you for all the coupon consultations! Ha Ha!
Good night now...I am going to get ready for bed. I hope you tune in for more updates!
