Is it May already???

Oh, May, you have managed to sneak up on me already. I was dreading you, May, the month that will take my sweet husband away. Oh May.
So far the month of May has been speeding by like a bullet. May 1st was the Hickam Craft fair which I participated in and did amazingly well. I made nearly $500 that day with all of my shabby chic furniture. It was definitely worth my time I think, although it IS hard work!
Our recent visitors (Charles' father and Angela his girlfriend) have already come and gone. Their plane left today at lunchtime. We enjoyed seeing them and managed to get in a good bit of touring too. On Sunday, we went to Hanauma Bay to snorkel and enjoy the beach. Then we drove up the east side of the island and ended in North Shore Haleiwa town for dinner at Cholo's Mexican Restaurant. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the drive since we don't get to spend too much time together!
Sunday was also Mother's Day. I missed seeing my beautiful mother and Meme and of course momma Carol and Mama Lucy too! Of course leave it to my sweet Meme to send me a tear jerker of an email letting me know how much I was missed that day. I sure wish I was home, trust me!
So Monday came and back to work we go. Today is Tuesday and I'm at work now. Charles is scheduled to go out soon, but may be delayed due to some "technical issues" on the boat. AS ALWAYS! I sure hope they get out of here soon. The build up of emotions before deployment can drive a person absolutely INSANE and I'm ready to get my countdown started. The sooner he leaves, the sooner he comes home to his family. Geez, I miss him already.
I have so many projects and plans that I need to either start or finish at the house. I am so much more productive when Charles is away. I can't wait to get some things completed! This is one part that truly excites me.
Bourbon and the kitty boys are doing well. I noticed last night that Bourb may be getting another small tumor under one of his eyes. It hasn't gotten big yet, and sometimes they go away on their own. But I am definitely going to keep an eye on it. I hope it isn't one like the one we had to have surgically removed on the top of his dome
(that's what his daddy calls his head- his "dome"! )
Hollie and Ashley are both flying out together next month to visit. I couldn't be more excited. I have such a busy few months ahead of me: deployment, friends in town, a port call visit, and following up with Scrap Fest in September with my momma. Anyways, back to my visitors....We have never gotten to take a vacation together with just the three of us. Well, technically, its NOT a vacay for me, but you know what I mean. I can't wait to have my two childhood besties stay with me while Charles is away.
I'll try to get some photos of Hanauma Bay up soon. My life has been so crazy busy lately. Its like I don't have enough hours in the day to complete all my tasks. I will try to post some soon, though.
We love and miss you all.
XOXOXO
Charles, Lacie, Bourbon, Oliver and Fat Felix
